2009 Grand National Odds

Joint-favourites with Stan James both Butler's Cabin and My Will (10-1)  held their ground at today's second scratchings deadline for the 2009 John Smith's Grand National at Aintree on Saturday April 4th.

The race currently has 88 acceptors with Exotic Dancer, Star De Mohaison, Notre Pere, Madison Du Berlais and Garde Champetre being removed from the line-up at the most recent stage.

Laura Stephens at Stan James told Free Bet on the National:

"The leading fancies have all stood their ground for this year's Grand National with only Garde Champetre being a slightly surprising defector. The current joint-favourite Butler's Cabin is a big loser for us and recently we have seen support for Big Fella Thanks 14-1 (from 16) and at a bigger price Brooklyn Brownie 40-1 (from 66)."
