McCoy Playing it Cool on National Ride

Chris Kisby - 1 Apr 2009

Champion jockey Tony McCoy is still mulling over which horse he will ride in the John Smith’s Grand National.

McCoy has four runners to choose from, Reveillez, Can’t Buy Time, L’Ami and Butler’s Cabin. Despite the big race only being a matter of days away, J.P McManus’s racing manager Frank Berry insists there is no rush for McCoy to make his mind up commenting:

‘There is no pressure for Tony to make up his mind, because we have jockeys ready for the other horses." I'm sure he will wait to see what the ground is on Thursday morning." The champion jockey is searching for his first success in the illustrious steeplechase, so it comes as no surprise that he is spending time weighing up what his best chance may be.

The ante-post market suggests that it is Butler’s Cabin, he is second favourite for the John Smith’s Grand National, best priced 10/1 with Bet365.
