Up in the weights after winning the Becher Chase in November and broke a blood vessel last time - questions to answer?

Bidding to become the first six-year-old winner since 1916. Trainer fancies him, so respected.

As a French-bred seven-year-old, he would be a real stats buster if he were to win, but that Hennessy fourth to Denman shows he has class.

Simon - doesn’t sound like a National winner but he fell when going well last year and  could add to the growing list of National fallers to follow up with victory.

Could be given a shout on soft / heavy, but drying ground is against him.
 
9.   16F5PP Iron Man (FR) 7 11-5 P Bowen / Christian Williams - 100/1 888sport
French-bred, nothing positive to say about him.

10.   412183 Fundamentalist (IRE) 10 11-4 N A Twiston-Davies / P J Brennan - 66/1 VCbet Former Cheltenham winner who then lost the plot. Unlikely to find it again here.

It’s another year when Tony McCoy didn’t win the National.

Last year’s third, targeted at the race, fine chance.
